Life got HARD early for Chrystal, but she pressed onward, always pursuing her dream of making a difference in the world but not knowing her exact path. Her father impressed upon her the importance and permanence of education. She got her Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies, but became a mother of Nicholas Prentis during this process. Being a mom changed her in good and not so good ways, but the good far outweighed everything else. She paused her dreams to raise her son, Nick, and never regretted it. Seven plus years later, Chrystal had her daughter, Rachel. She loved being a mom to both of her children and often told others that they taught her more than she ever taught them which no one around her seemed to understand for a long time. Nick and Rachel grew up, as children do, and Chrystal began to feel the pull of her dreams once more. It was strong and alluring as most dreams are. She saw opportunities begin to open up for her and soon gained employment with Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. Brenau offered free tuition to employees pursuing education while employed with them. Chrystal enrolled in the Master of Psychology: Clinical Counseling program. Her dream grew wings that day and had the structure it needed to learn to fly. Cue Tom Petty!

Fast Forward: 2020 is a year most won’t soon forget due to the heavy hitter issues the world was dealing with during that time and happens to be the year of completion of the graduate degree which launched Chrystal’s career as a mental health therapist in training. Although there were still numerous steps to take to get fully licensed, the academic part of that journey was now successfully completed and the licensure process began which made the dream almost touchable. About three years later, Chrystal successfully completed the licensure requirements. 2023 is the year IndiGLOW was born - her baby business. On January 1, 2024, Chrystal rented office space in the historic Hosch building on the square in Gainesville, Georgia, where she is still operating today. The dream is flying high now!
